All,
I am setting up a 81mm air mortar in my WWII US M3 halftrack. For use in WWII reenactments. Everything modern must be hidden and its working out great until I realized that you can't use a CO2 tank in a horizontal position. This is due to the CO2 being liquid in the bottle. Any issues using Argon? I've already bought my Co2 tank (35lbs) so I am hoping not to have to scrap it. I guess I could just fill it up with air as well. I assume I will have reduced volume using air or argon and only have to worry about less shots.

If you can keep the pressure low enough you should be able to keep the co2 from liquefying. that is my only suggestion. thanks bean
