what is the benefit of have a regulator and gauge? verses just having a valve on the propane? |

As far as combustions are concerned, it's helpful with consistency. The propane also comes out at a pretty high pressure if you're not careful. As far as hybrids go, you have to have a meter/regulator to get the correct pressure and mixture. I can't believe this website is still up but you could probably find a lot about it here: http://burntlatke.com/ It can be dangerous to directly inject propane into the chamber because of the pressure the propane cylinder puts out. Plus I believe the propane comes out a pretty low temperature which can make the PVC brittle. Regulators just make propane safer and easier to use. You'll have better results with a regulator. |
