Distance - combustion vs pneumatic

Looking to build a tennis ball cannon, and hoping for a distance in the 200 yard range....which rig (combustion or air) will get me theses results? Is it even possible to get a tennis ball that far? (without mods such as weighting the ball, etc, and wild psi loads)

I had a combustion that shot spuds at least 150 yards. Probably a little farther. The distance is definitely possible, particularly with pneumatic. You got a budget? :twisted:

The only thing I could see holding you back is the weight of the tennis ball. Any particular reason you're shooting tennis balls?

Looking to prank my neighbor, but being a friend, didn't want to rain potatoes on him! Seems with air, by the time you pickup a valve and pipe we're in the $60 range...I'd go a little more for the extra distance, hafta experiment and see I guess
