How much would a simple pneumatic cannon costs, generally? Just wondering.

I have a pretty simple pneumatic gun that would have cost 50 bucks or so if I didn't have a lot of the parts already. A simple enough gun could cost like 20 bucks or so. Without a gauge, maybe 12-15. But I'd never make one without a gauge.

I just go by my compressors ajustable regulator, no need for the gun to have a guage.

but I still like having the gauge there.. for more precise measurements, I do a lot more than the 5 presets on the regulator. if your reg. has more than the 10, 30, 50, 70, and 100 on it... or you can set it yourself... go for it.

this is probably a bit high, but at a guess... all pvc and fittings should be sch 40 for safety.
2" pvc chamber stock + fittings = $6
1.5" pvc barrel stock + fittings = $6
brass tire valve = $2
pvc primer and cement = $4
1" ball valve = $3
$21 total, according to me. of course, if you wanted to use a 1" electric sprinkler valve, it would have MUCH better performance for about $15 more.
hopefully you have a pump/compressor and a way of regulating/checking air pressure. (for a compressor, you MUST regulate air pressure for safety.) if not, then they will be the real cost of the gun.

the most important thing is to not try to cut costs by cutting safety. this would be a pretty humiliating way to lose an eye, die, or just be hideously disfigured, so be careful and spend a few more dollars if needed.
