That propane tank gun kicks ass. Must have one hell of a recoil. What do you fire from that thing, and do you have any range estimates.

The big one is a backyard toy. My backyard has woods on 3 sides and my closest neigbors are cool. On the weekends, the trunkslammers come north with fireworks. Plus quick repeat shots are not attempted (no way to air out the metal gun- yet). The homemade injector has broken twice. I get a supply of empties from work. After the second neck broke off the caulk tube, I upgraded to fender washers (with a dab of silicone)and a 3/8" compression fitting with the stop sawed off the nut, to make a tougher outlet. Using the El Cheapo propane injector, the mixture has been very close every time. No misfires or dissapoinments with an audience.

Rags and a sponge are the only things that I have loaded into this monster. When the corn and sugar beets get ripe around here I might try a remote launch. Metal shrapnel is not good. Light projectile - light recoil. Heavy slug - look out! Your question about range deserves an answer. Wet newspaper for wadding and a potato! Look out! The wife came home! Maybe tommorrow.....

way to air it out is to use a compresser with a blow gun think that is used to clean with. Just opean the ball valve stick it in and air it out.

Yep, it's a spark plug. Some 14mm long reach plugs have the same (close enough) threads as a compression fitting nut (3/8" tube?). Grind or saw the top off and it makes a nice nut to put inside. The ignitor is a sunbeam goldline electronic ignitor. One AAA battery powers it. Menard's was closing em out for $3.99 - I took 4!!
