It arced through my hand OUCH! and fired the spudgun, which was setting on my tailgate. the gun shot back 1-2 ft, and the spud missed my dad's car by 4 inches, hitting the ground and blowing the grass away. Luckily the only damage was a bare dirt patch in the yard. The moral of the story, if you have a misfire take your endcap off before repairing sparking mechanism! Keep it safe, and remember accidents can happen to anyone!
