Originaly posted by andeh,I was firing my relatively new gun in my back yard, and I got out some stuff from a gun I don't use a lot(my friend's actually). A bit larger barrels. The barrel I was using was 2" x 3', with a 2" male adaptor on the end. I had a 2" female adaptor, 2 x 1 bushing, and a 1" male adaptor to connect it to the sprinkler valve. Filled barrel 5/6 full of water, charged up gun and fired. Barrel snaps off right at the end of the slot part of the 1" male adaptor. Good thing I had the barrel clamped down, or else it probably would have flown off somewhere. I know I didn't have too much water, on his gun before we shot 2.5" x 5' barrel totally full straight up. Its possible that the fitting had just been weakening over time... just something you should know.
