Originaly posted by Rex_R,I had hoped to not be posting in this catagory...oh well. test fired my 1.5" gun with a spud today (previously used a low mass gasket slug, approx 40 grams) the glue joint between the reducer and the coupler failed. couple things of note, this joint was glued about 10 yrs ago with multipurpose glue and I see that I didn't prep the joint properly (had a price tag on the mating surface, $1.79 fish building supply). no injuries to report though my hand got a little warmer, didn't even remove any hair. well thats one to chalk up to experience :-)
